Meeting 24 Jan and site entry changed to KMC    January 25, 2019

Cllr Wendy Hinder, Chairman of the Environment Committee has asked that residents and councillors be thanked for attending last night’s meeting.  She is sure that it would not be amiss to say that Helen Whately MP was also impressed at the turnout and contributions from residents.

Apologies must be given to those residents who wished to attend but were turned away.  Due to the large number of attendees the capacity of the hall was reached at about 7.20pm and due to fire regulations no further entry was allowed.

Attached is a copy of the parish council’s response to the planning application and those of you who were present heard Helen Whately MP announce that the applicant was going to put a planning application in to change the proposed entrance from Bearsted Road to Kent Medical Campus.  The submission will be an amendment to the current plan, in which case there is going to be a shorter period for the parish council and residents to respond with their views to MBC. Those of you who remained until the end of the meeting heard that it might not be possible for the parish council to arrange another meeting like last night and will use the community alert, website and Facebook to keep you advised of the situation.

You may wish/need to make another response to the changes being proposed and the parish council will be particularly monitoring whether there is a pedestrian entry still proposed for Bearsted Road.
